Proclamation Program
Recognizing Excellence: The Sigma Pi Proclamation Program
Sigma Pi Fraternity Grand Council’s Proclamation Program is an initiative to celebrate and formally recognize the extraordinary contributions and achievements of Sigma Pi members and associations nationwide. By honoring those who exemplify the Fraternity’s values of service, leadership, and brotherhood, the Proclamation Program fosters a culture of excellence, inspiring all members to make a meaningful impact within their communities and throughout their lives.
About the Proclamation Program
Throughout the year, the Grand Council issues proclamations to individual members and groups who demonstrate remarkable dedication to philanthropy, leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement. Each proclamation serves as a lasting testament to the honored individual’s or group’s contributions.
Honoring the First Proclamation Recipients
The first honorees of this program, Thomas Kurt Tellez (Fullerton, CA ’79) and David Thomas Meis (Fullerton, CA ’81), have been recognized for their contributions to Epsilon-Nu Chapter’s longstanding fishing derby fundraiser, celebrating its 40th year in 2024. Their efforts exemplify the values of Sigma Pi, reminding us of the positive, lasting impact of dedication and community service.
