Bracket Challenge

As we celebrate the enduring legacy of our Fraternity, the Sigma Pi Bracket Challenge is our inaugural fundraiser supporting the growth and success of our chapters via Chapter Educational Funds. Running the same timeframe as March Madness (Play-In games March 17-18th, Round of 64 March 19th-20th, Round of 32 March 21st-22nd, Sweet 16 March 26th-27th, Elite Eight March 28th-29th, Final Four April 4th, Championship and 3rd place Game April 6th). This Sigma Pi Bracket Challenge is a way for undergraduates, alumni, parents and friends to support their chapter’s Chapter Educational Fund and make an impact locally.
With our chapters hungry to grow and new groups joining our brotherhood every year, the need for local funds to provide scholarships and educational opportunities to their members has never been greater. The Sigma Pi Bracket Challenge plays a crucial role in providing our men with enhanced opportunities-access to better resources, more scholarships, and greater participation in Fraternity events. It ensures that Sigma Pi continues to uphold its tradition of excellence and remains a guiding force in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
Check out the Coach’s Playbook. It explains how the bracket works, what seeds and scores mean, how matchups advance, and how results update across rounds. Review the basics, then jump in with confidence. Visit sigmapi.org/bracketplaybook to get started.
OVERVIEW
91 chapters enter the tournament → 1 Champion crowned on April 6th, 2026
54 chapters are randomly selected to participate in a Play-In game (March 17th-18th).
27 chapters advance and join the other 37 chapters that are automatically put into the tournament.
Each unique gift to your Chapter Educational Fund of $10+ (each individual can only donate once per round for it to count) equals 1 point. If an individual donates $100+ that will count as 2 points for that round. Only new gifts made during the round will count. Recurring gifts won’t count towards this challenge
In the event of a tie between two opponents in a round, total funds raised during that round determine the tiebreaker. The group with the higher amount advances.
To donate to your Chapter Educational Fund visit the link below and select the chapter you want to support in the drop down menu. Fill out the necessary information and make your donation to that specific Chapter Educational Fund so we know who to give point(s), too.

PRIZES
Prizes add even more impact to your participation. At the end of the tournament, the top four finishing chapters earn bonus funding deposited directly into their Chapter Educational Fund. First place receives $1,000, second place receives $500, third place receives $250, and fourth place receives $100. These awards stack on top of all funds raised through the Bracket Challenge, turning strong performance on the court into real, lasting support for scholarships and educational programming at the chapter level.
UNDERSTANDING THE BRACKET
Each team is listed with its seed shown in parentheses before the team name. The number displayed on the right side of each matchup represents the points scored in that game. Winning teams are visually highlighted and advance to the next round, with each round building on the results of the previous one, from the Round of 64 through the Final Four, Championship, and ultimately the Champion. Scores will appear as games are played, and future matchups will remain blank until results are finalized.
