The Sigma Pi Executive Office is proud to announce our slate of expansion for the 2014-2015 academic year!
Fall 2014 Expansions:
This expansion marks a return to the University of Kentucky, where Sigma Pi originally chartered on October 20, 1973. The chapter had a previous history that included winning a Grand Council Award as a top 12 chapter of Sigma Pi in 1986 and 2000. The return of Epsilon-Beta will give the largest concentration of chapters (5) within the state of Kentucky that Sigma Pi has ever seen. For more information on the upcoming expansion at the University of Kentucky please visit the Epsilon-Beta Expansion page of our website. You can also follow the expansion and re-colonization on Facebook.
In addition, Sigma Pi would like to announce that Ryan Khuri (Iota-Omicron, Louisville ’12) has been selected as the Colony Director for the Epsilon-Beta Colony. Ryan Khuri is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a founding father of the Iota-Omicron Chapter. After graduating, Ryan worked for the Sigma Pi Executive Office as an expansion consultant. In that position, he completed expansions to recolonize at Central Michigan University (Delta-Alpha Colony) and Missouri State University (Alpha-Rho Colony). The Sigma Pi Executive Office is excited to announce the return to Colorado State University in the fall semester of 2014. Originally chartered on April 24, 1993, the Eta-Sigma chapter won the Grand Council Award as a top 12 chapter of Sigma Pi in 1986. This expansion and re-colonization will mark the return of a second chapter in the state of Colorado and will allow for a friendly rivalry to be renewed with the chapter at the University of Colorado-Boulder (Zeta-Delta). The Sigma Pi Executive Office will be making a visit to Ft Collins March 31-April 2 to meet with the university and area alumni to prepare for the upcoming expansion. Spring 2015 Expansions:
A return to Beta-Kappa represents a return to the state of Arizona for Sigma Pi, where we have not had a presence since the spring of 2012. Originally chartered April 20, 1951 this re-colonization effort will serve as a rebirthing for Sigma Pi in the state; with the reformation of the Arizona Alumni club, Sigma Pi hopes to strengthen the organized presence in the Phoenix area, this will allow for members of Sigma Pi in Arizona to continue their experience as members of our organization and will also allow for the consideration of future expansion in the state. For more information on the upcoming expansion at Arizona State University please visit the Beta-Kappa Expansion page of our website. You can also follow theexpansion and re-colonization on Facebook.
Additionally, Sigma Pi is proud to announce that Adrian Rodgers (Beta-Kappa, Arizona State ’10) has been selected as the Colony Director for the re- colonization of Beta-Kappa at Arizona State.
