Announcement of Expansion Efforts for 2014-2015 Academic Year

The Sigma Pi Executive Office is proud to announce our slate of expansion for the 2014-2015 academic year!

Fall 2014 Expansions:

kentuckySMALLUniversity of Kentucky – Epsilon-Beta (re-colonization)

This expansion marks a return to the University of Kentucky, where Sigma Pi originally chartered on October 20, 1973. The chapter had a previous history that included winning a Grand Council Award as a top 12 chapter of Sigma Pi in 1986 and 2000. The return of Epsilon-Beta will give the largest concentration of chapters (5) within the state of Kentucky that Sigma Pi has ever seen.  For more information on the upcoming expansion at the University of Kentucky please visit the Epsilon-Beta Expansion page of our website. ryankhuriIn addition, Sigma Pi would like to announce that Ryan Khuri (Iota-Omicron, Louisville ’12) has been selected as the Colony Director for the Epsilon-Beta Colony. Ryan Khuri is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a founding father of the Iota-Omicron Chapter. After graduating, Ryan worked for the Sigma Pi Executive Office as an expansion consultant. In that position, he completed expansions to recolonize at Central Michigan University (Delta-Alpha Colony) and Missouri State University (Alpha-Rho Colony). Additionally, he helped support many other chapters across the country. Ryan is currently completing his first year at the University of Kentucky College Of Law. coloradostateSMALLColorado State University – Eta-Sigma (re-colonization)

The Sigma Pi Executive Office is excited to announce the return to Colorado State University in the fall semester of 2014. Originally chartered on April 24, 1993, the Eta-Sigma chapter won the Grand Council Award as a top 12 chapter of Sigma Pi in 1986. This expansion and re-colonization will mark the return of a second chapter in the state of Colorado and will allow for a friendly rivalry to be renewed with the chapter at the University of Colorado-Boulder (Zeta-Delta). The Sigma Pi Executive Office will be making a visit to Ft Collins March 31-April 2 to meet with the university and area alumni to prepare for the upcoming expansion. Spring 2015 Expansions:

arizonastateSMALLArizona State University – Beta-Kappa (re-colonization)

A return to Beta-Kappa represents a return to the state of Arizona for Sigma Pi, where we have not had a presence since the spring of 2012. Originally chartered April 20, 1951 this re-colonization effort will serve as a rebirthing for Sigma Pi in the state; with the reformation of the Arizona Alumni club, Sigma Pi hopes to strengthen the organized presence in the Phoenix area, this will allow for members of Sigma Pi in Arizona to continue their experience as members of our organization and will also allow for the consideration of future expansion in the state. adrianrodgersAdditionally, Sigma Pi is proud to announce that Adrian Rodgers (Beta-Kappa, Arizona State ’10) has been selected as the Colony Director for the re- colonization of Beta-Kappa at Arizona State. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, he received his BS in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State in 2010. Adrian served first as treasurer of Beta-Kappa, where he was recognized as Greek Life Junior of the Year, and later as president. Upon graduation, he was selected to serve on the staff of the Executive Office as an Expansion Consultant where he conducted on-site recruitment efforts at the University of Missouri, Southern Illinois – Carbondale, and Duke University. He was elevated to the role of Director of Expansion in 2011. He left the Executive Office team in 2012 to join a franchise group of Ameriprise Financial in Mesa, Arizona where he worked as an investment associate. He has recently moved to the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Scottsdale, Arizona where he works as a part of a team that services ultra-high net worth clients. Adrian has participated as both an undergraduate and Executive Office staff member at Sigma Pi University, the Mid-Year Leadership Conference, and UIFI.
