NASHVILLE, TN – September 17, 2026 – Sigma Pi Fraternity is proud to announce a new partnership with Hazing Prevention Network, a national organization dedicated to preventing hazing through education, advocacy, research, and awareness.
The partnership reinforces the Fraternity’s commitment to providing a safe, positive, and meaningful membership experience while giving members and chapters access to additional hazing prevention resources and educational opportunities.
The announcement comes ahead of National Hazing Prevention Week, which will be observed September 21-25, 2026. Held during the last full week of September each year, National Hazing Prevention Week brings together communities, colleges and universities, organizations, and individuals to increase awareness and education surrounding hazing.
The week provides an opportunity for campus and fraternal communities to engage in intentional conversations about hazing prevention, personal responsibility, healthy organizational cultures, and the role every member plays in creating a positive experience.
“Partnering with Hazing Prevention Network strengthens the resources available to our members and supports the work already taking place throughout Sigma Pi to prevent hazing,” said Executive Director Justin “JT” Todoroff (Cal State Long Beach ’01). “National Hazing Prevention Week provides an important opportunity to reinforce those expectations, but this work extends throughout the entire year. Our policies and programs help create a strong sense of community where members feel they belong, hold one another accountable, and have the opportunity to Find Their Purpose. Each of us has a responsibility to protect that experience.”
Hazing Prevention Network works with fraternities and sororities, colleges and universities, athletic programs, student organizations, and individuals across the country to advance hazing prevention. Its work includes educational programming, research, awareness initiatives, and resources designed to help organizations recognize risk and address hazing before harm occurs.
Through the partnership, Sigma Pi will continue expanding its hazing prevention efforts and providing members with tools that support safer chapter environments and stronger membership experiences.
Sigma Pi encourages all chapters and members to participate in National Hazing Prevention Week and use the week as an opportunity to discuss how individual decisions, chapter culture, and shared accountability contribute to the prevention of hazing.
