A Year of Growth, Leadership, and Connection

The Sigma Pi 2025–26 Year in Review
The 2025–26 fiscal year marked a period of meaningful growth and renewed connection across Sigma Pi. From stronger undergraduate participation and expanded leadership development to increased donor support and new ways for members to engage with the Fraternity, the year reflected continued progress and organizational momentum. Across chapters, alumni communities, educational programs, and digital platforms, Sigma Pi invested in the people and experiences at the center of the Fraternity.

Undergraduate Membership Continues to Grow
Sigma Pi ended the fiscal year with 4,678 undergraduate members, an increase of nearly 13% from the previous year’s roster of 4,147. The Fraternity welcomed 2,125 new members, a 3.3% increase over 2024–25, while average chapter size rose from 46 to 52 members, an increase of approximately 13%. Recruitment performance also continued to improve, with 48% of chapters meeting or exceeding their recruitment goals, compared with 46% during the previous fiscal year.

These results reflect the work of chapter leaders, volunteers, and staff members who supported recruitment planning, member education, and chapter operations throughout the year. Together, their efforts helped more men find a home in Sigma Pi while strengthening the undergraduate experience across the Fraternity.

Expanding Leadership Development
Leadership education remained a major priority during 2025–26, with 847 members participating in leadership development programs, more than double the 423 participants recorded during the previous year. Sigma Pi also hosted four regional Engage events: Engage Boston on September 27, 2025, Engage Atlanta on January 31, 2026, Engage Kansas City on February 21, 2026, and Engage Asheville on March 7, 2026.

These programs gave undergraduate members opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, exchange ideas, address chapter challenges, and build relationships with brothers from across their regions. The impact extended beyond the events themselves, as 36% of Engage participants continued into chapter leadership positions. This result demonstrates the role these programs play in preparing members to serve their chapters and lead with confidence.

Stronger Chapter and Academic Performance
Sigma Pi chapters continued to make progress through the Fraternity’s annual Chapter Report Card assessment program. The overall assessment score increased from 83.7% in 2024–25 to 91.5% in 2025–26, representing a 9.3% year-over-year increase. Academic performance also improved, with the Fraternity-wide grade point average rising from 3.01 to 3.11.

Together, these results reflect greater consistency in chapter operations and an ongoing commitment to academic achievement, accountability, and the member experience. They also show how stronger chapter practices support success both inside and outside the classroom.

Historic Growth in Donor Participation
The Sigma Pi Foundations experienced significant growth in donor participation during the fiscal year. The number of unique donors increased from 481 to 1,035, an increase of more than 115%. Sigma Pi also welcomed 458 first-time donors, compared with 81 during the previous year.

The increase in first-time donors represents more than five times the prior-year total and signals broader participation from members, families, and friends who believe in the educational mission of Sigma Pi.

Connecting Members Through New Platforms
Sigma Pi expanded communication and digital engagement efforts throughout the year. The Fraternity released 21 episodes of the Owl Talk Podcast, generating more than 4,000 downloads and listens. Episodes featured conversations about leadership, Fraternity history, chapter success, alumni experiences, and issues affecting the broader fraternal community.

The total social media following for Sigma Pi increased by 6.7% across all channels, extending the reach of chapter stories, member achievements, educational content, and Fraternity news.

The Fraternity also launched a new Amazon Storefront for branded merchandise, giving members, alumni, parents, and supporters a convenient way to purchase Sigma Pi products and represent the Fraternity. This adds another outlet for Sigma Pi members to shop for branded apparel, joining the official store of Sigma Pi at shop.sigmapi.org, along with an additional 136 licensed vendors.

Sigma Pi also introduced Group Emailer, a new communication tool designed to support chapter and alumni outreach. Chapter leaders, Chapter Advisors, and Alumni Club leaders now have access to a centralized platform for viewing, managing, and sending email campaigns, including newsletters, giving campaigns, and chapter alumni communications.

Group Emailer supports personalized campaigns through branded templates. Dynamic recipient lists provide more targeted outreach, while email status tracking gives leaders greater visibility into delivery and engagement. The platform strengthens communication across the Fraternity and gives local leaders a more efficient way to connect with members and alumni.

Leadership for the Next Chapter
The fiscal year included an important transition in executive leadership. Gregory G. Ritchie (UMSL ’98), served as Interim CEO from August 11, 2025 through May 17, 2026, providing stability and direction during a significant period for the organization.

On May 18, 2026, Sigma Pi appointed Justin R. “JT” Todoroff (Cal State Long Beach ’01), as the 11th Executive Director of the Fraternity. The appointment established a foundation for continued progress in membership growth, chapter support, alumni engagement, and organizational development.

A Milestone Gathering in Orlando
The fiscal year concluded with one of the most significant gatherings on the Sigma Pi calendar. In June 2026, the Fraternity hosted the 58th Biennial Convocation in Orlando, Florida. Convocation brought undergraduate leaders, alumni volunteers, Fraternity staff, and supporters together to conduct the business of the organization, recognize achievement, strengthen relationships, and prepare for the next biennium.

During the conference, Sigma Pi launched Sigma Pi Events, a new mobile app designed to place essential conference information directly at attendees’ fingertips. The platform provided centralized access to event details, sessions, speaker profiles, attendee information, sponsors, notifications, attire guidance, and support resources. These features gave attendees a convenient way to follow the schedule, prepare for sessions, receive updates, and stay connected throughout the event.

The gathering served as a defining moment of the year and reinforced the value of bringing brothers together around a shared commitment to the mission and future of Sigma Pi. The introduction of Sigma Pi Events also reflected a broader commitment to improving the attendee experience through accessible, centralized event communication.

Building on the Year’s Momentum
Sigma Pi concluded the 2025–26 fiscal year with stronger undergraduate membership, higher chapter assessment scores, improved academic performance, record donor participation, expanded leadership programming, and broader digital engagement. The Fraternity supported 25 active alumni clubs during the year, extending brotherhood, engagement, and connection beyond the undergraduate experience.

Each result represents the combined work of undergraduate members, alumni volunteers, donors, staff members, and friends of the Fraternity. As Sigma Pi enters the next fiscal year, the organization does so with growing participation, an engaged brotherhood, and a clear commitment to advancing the mission of the Fraternity. The progress achieved during 2025–26 provides a strong foundation for the work ahead.
